SUMMIT PARK, Summit County — One person was killed Wednesday in a one-car rollover on I-80.
The vehicle was traveling west on the freeway about 10 miles west of Summit Park and near the turnoff to Lambs Canyon when the vehicle rolled and fell onto the roadway below, said Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce.
The driver was identified as a 66-year-old man from Sandy, Utah. His name was not released.
Police responded to the crash shortly after 8 p.m. and found the driver dead on scene, Royce said. There were no other occupants in the vehicle, and no other vehicles were impacted.
Weather likely wasn't a factor in the crash, the sergeant said. It wasn't known Wednesday night why the vehicle rolled.
