We're dealing with 100-degree days in the valleys, but in a lot of campgrounds in Northern Utah, they're still shoveling snow.

The zip-line at the Brighton LDS Girls' camp is stretched over several snow banks, some still more than a foot deep.

Many campgrounds still under snow

Assistant Director Tamra Fuhriman says they were shoveling a lot of snow just to get ready for campers. "When we first moved up here, it was getting crazy. And there was a lot that we thought we weren't gonna be able to do. We were kind of worried that we wouldn't have enough to entertain the campers," she said.

Girls have to walk up a snow bank to get to their cabins. But at 75-degrees, it's melting quickly.

It's the same story at other camps in the Unitas, where the last of the scout camps opened up this week.
