SALT LAKE CITY — A man is on the loose after causing two crashes and running from the scenes, police say.
Around 7 a.m. Thursday morning, a man driving a sedan on 1700 South and 300 East ran into a lightpost, Salt Lake City police officer Jeremy Sayes said. The man drove away from the scene, crashing into a parked car at 1400 South and 400 East about 20 minutes later.
The driver left the vehicle, running away from the car, Sayes said. Two witnesses followed the man, one on foot and the other in a vehicle.
“I like when witnesses are good witnesses. They kept their distance,” Sayes said.
Police also searched the area, but were unable to find the driver.
He is described as a white or Hispanic male with a shaved head and wearing dark shorts and a blue shirt. He was injured, bleeding from the mouth.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Salt Lake City Police Department at 801-799-3000.
