(KSL News) Traffic heading to the west side of the Salt Lake valley is expected to double over the next 30 years, and the Utah Department of Transportation(UDOT) is trying to prepare now for the added congestion.
UDOT is still working on cost evaluations, but it has released a list of potential projects for east-west transportation. Among them are:
- A free-flowing Bangerter Highway with no stoplights
- A new freeway along 9000 South
- Reversible lanes during rush hour
- And more continuous-flow intersections
