(KSL News) It was a late but happy return for some of the soldiers of Utah's 145th National Guard Unit.
The group of 150 soldiers arrived in Utah around 11:30 last night after serving in Iraq for the last year.
Maj. Hank McIntire of the Utah National Guard said, "This is a first for us, to have a plane come in so late filled with soldiers. But the thrill never goes away. We're just thrilled to have everybody coming home. And that's the great thing about it, is that every single one of our soldiers has come home from this mission."
They were the last of their unit to return to Utah this week. Even Governor Huntsman stayed up late to welcome them home.
