WEST VALLEY CITY — The Utah Grizzlies have clinched a berth in the ECHL playoffs, and the team released the schedule for their first round series Saturday.
Utah will face the Idaho Steelheads in a seven-game series that begins Wednesday, April 15 in Idaho. The series format is 1-2-2-1-1, meaning games two and three will take place at the Maverik Center in West Valley, as well as game six if necessary. Game two will be Friday, April 17 and game three will be Saturday, April 18. Both will begin at 7:00 p.m. local time.
The Grizzlies clinched the playoff berth, their ninth in the last 10 seasons, after defeating Colorado 3-2 in overtime Friday. Their record went to 36-27-5-3 after the victory. Utah closes the regular season Saturday night, also against Colorado.
Tickets for the upcoming series are on sale at www.utahgrizzlies.com, the Maverik Center box office and all Ticketmaster locations. All games will be broadcasted live on 1320 KFAN.
