(KSL News) Dozens of Utahns braved a chilly night in the hopes of getting free chicken.
As part of the grand opening of a new Chick-Fil-A restaurant in South Jordan, the company promised free combo meals for a year to the first 100 people at the new store.
The promise of free chicken led to a sort of tent city in the parking lot here some people waited for over 24 hours to make sure they had a good spot in line.
One person said, "Last night was not as bad as yesterday tying to set up. For four hours we got rained on, but it's all right. We're having fun."
And those who held out through the wet weather were rewarded for their efforts when the store opened at 6 a.m.
The new restaurant is on 114 S. Bangerter Highway.
