(KSL News) Black smoke darkened the skies above Weber and Davis counties earlier today, but it was nothing to worry about.
Eyewitness News received a lot of phone calls from people concerned about the smoke. Some thought it may have been coming from a mock disaster near Ogden Regional Airport, but it was actually smoke from a controlled burn of more than 1,000 acres of the Ogden Bay Waterfowl Management Area (WMA).
The burn was conducted as a part of the WMA's wildfire control strategy.
