Andrew Adams reportingGet ready to crack open the wallet if you want to see President Bush and friends in Utah later this month.

The Deseret News reports invitations to the May 28 events are already circulating among Utahns. We tried to sell the event to people downtown.

President Bush, Mitt Romney, Governor Huntsman will be together for one special night in Deer Valley. We told Curtis Warrick and Dave Robertson they can spend it with them for just $70,100 apiece.

"Oh, come on," they said. "It sounds like a good deal for them."

"It sounds a lot steep," said Chet Bingham.

Also scheduled is a $10,000 lunch followed by a $500 reception earlier the same day.

So I asked, "What if I tried to sell you on a $10,000 luncheon?"

Bingham answered, "I'm not sure I'd pay $77.50."

What about $69.99?

"I'm getting warmer," he said.

Bingham and the rest say they just don't have the money. Republican fundraisers don't think so. They say Mitt Romney's success here convinced them otherwise. Utahns contributed more than $6 million to Romney's bid for the White House.
