(KSL news) Several groups helped clean up, revamp and refresh the home and yard for a family in a special situation.
The Kirton family of Murray has six autistic children. As a result, their home is a little more worn, due to some of the children's habits, like peeling wallpaper from the walls, writing on the walls and jumping on the furniture.
That's why the Arc of Utah, University of Utah Health Care and Lowe's teamed up to clean up and spruce up the family's home.
Volunteer Russ Elbele said, "It's front- and backyards. It's inside the house. We're going to be cleaning the walls. We're going to do a makeover on the lawn, plant flowers."
The family was sent out of the house for a day of fun at Hollywood Connection while volunteers worked.
