TRA LA LAND — Little Lola seems excited to sing an apparently well-known nursery rhyme in the UK called “One Day We Went to the Zoo,” but she just can’t seem to get it right.
Dad starts with singing, “One day we went to the zoo,” then he instructs 4-year-old Lola to respond by shouting the phrase, “To the zoo!”
Seems simple enough.
But no matter how many times she tries, Lola only responds with the full phrase, “We went to the zoo!” while pointing her finger to the sky, which only serves to punctuate her wrongness.
To Lola’s credit, her excitement of singing a song with Dad only slightly diminishes as her confusion increases. In fact, she’s incredibly good-natured as her dad repeatedly tells her she’s wrong. And since Lola stays so cheery through the ordeal, her repeated mistake and confusion only gets more adorable and hilarious.
The hilarity peaks when Lola takes a few beats to think through the lyric, yet still responds emphatically with the too-long phrase, “We went to the zoo!”
Bless her little heart for making our lives a little brighter.
