LOGAN, Utah (AP) -- A city building inspector was killed in a motorcycle collision about a mile south of Richmond.
Kevin Croshaw, 50, died Thursday after the 1989 Kawasaki motorcycle he was riding on U.S. Highway 91 collided with a 1988 Toyota truck driven by a 77-year-old Richmond man.
The man driving the truck pulled onto the highway in front of Croshaw.
Croshaw was not wearing a helmet.
According to a Utah Highway Patrol report, the truck driver's view of Croshaws motorcycle was blocked by another vehicle making a right turn off the highway.
UHP Trooper Jason Kendrick said Croshaw was likely not speeding.
It's unclear if Croshaw died at the scene or at the hospital. "They were doing everything they could from there," Kendrick said. "They were working on him."
The driver of the pickup truck was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way at a stop sign.
