Andrew Adams reportingHundreds of polygamist children in Texas are set for DNA testing this week. And for the first time, the American Civil Liberties Union has an opinion on the case.
The ACLU of Texas is expressing concern that the rights of the FLDS children and mothers aren't being protected adequately. In a statement, the group says it's worried the government may not be complying with the Constitution or even Texas state law.
DNA testing begins today for the polygamists' children. It could take a few days. Parents start their testing tomorrow. The results may not be back for 30 days, but the children will be in foster care as soon as the testing samples are taken.
