(KSL News) A Salt Lake County teen and her mother were shaken but not hurt when a driving lesson ended in a wreck.

The 15-year-old girl was driving the car with her mother supervising this morning when she swerved to avoid hitting a slower-moving vehicle, over-corrected and flipped the car.

Utah Highway Patrol troopers say the girl learned a lesson important for all drivers. "Always be aware of what's ahead of you. Always be scanning ahead three to four to 12 seconds ahead to see what you're coming up on," said Sgt. Sheldon Riches.

Two of the girl's siblings also were in the car. Neither was hurt. Everyone in the car was wearing a seat belt.
