SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- An attorney for seven men who filed civil lawsuits against Warren Jeffs says he's filed papers asking the court to dismiss the cases.
The lawsuits were filed in 2004. Six men -- known as Lost Boys -- sought damages from Jeffs and the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, claiming they had been unfairly kicked out of the faith.
The second lawsuit was filed by a Jeffs nephew who claimed he had been sexually assaulted by his uncle.
Both suits defaulted, but none collected damages.
Instead they waited for the state to take control of the $114 million church trust and then sued the trust. A settlement was reached in 2007.
Court papers seeking dismissals were filed today in 3rd District Court. In a statement, an attorney for the seven says the men see no need to seek additional money from Jeffs.
