(KSL News) A Utah County woman who lost her husband to a drug overdose could now face criminal charges.
Police say Leslie Butler admitted to them that she and her husband, Jeffrey Butler, had been using heroin and cocaine in the hours before his death last month.
The Provo Daily Herald reports that in addition to heroine and cocaine, officers also found marijuana and a hypodermic needle filled with heroin in the couple's home.
Details of the case have now been handed over to the Utah County Attorney's Office, which will decide what charges will be filed. That likely will happen after a full report on the man's cause of death is released by the state medical examiner.
