(KSL News) An American Fork man accused of killing his young son has pleaded guilty to aggravated murder.
Jason Putnam took the plea deal today, and in exchange prosecutors will no longer seek the death penalty.
Last June, Putnam was arrested after his 20-month-old son, Jordan, died and doctors found injuries consistent with abuse. Putnam later admitted he was trying to help his young son learn to be tough.

Putnam will be sentenced in June, on the one-year anniversary of his son's death.
