Tom Callan and KSL TVIt's a controversial practice once used on terror suspects. Now a Provo man claims he was a victim of waterboarding.
Chad Hudgens told the Provo Daily Herald that while working for Prosper Incorporated last year, waterboarding was used as part of a motivational exercise. He says he was waterboarded and held down during a sales seminar.
He is now suing the company, alleging assault and battery, wrongful termination and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Hudgens accuses his ex-boss, Joshua Christopherson, of holding him down.
Lawyers for Prosper acknowledge the incident happened, but say Hudgens volunteered to be a part of it. The president of the company says he would love to talk, but was not available today.
Prosper Incorporated is described as an educational firm for people wanting to decrease debt or increase income.
