(KSL News) -- A thief steals from a police cadet, and search and rescue crews end up dragging the Jordan River.
Two weeks ago a thief burglarized a police cadet in Riverton.
The thief stole police gear and I.D.
Detectives followed a fraud trail and identified a suspect, but they're not releasing his name.
They questioned the man. He confessed to the crime and told authorities to look in the Jordan River for the missing police items.
Search and rescue crews dragged the river and recovered some gear.
