(Photo courtesy of Ron Stewart, Utah Division of Wildlife Resources)(KSL News) Utah Wildlife officials have initiated an emergency feeding program for starving deer, but they caution against residents participating.
With wildlife feeling the effects of the recent round of winter storms, many people want to help out.
The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources (DWR) understands the concern but asks people to leave the job up to them.
Officials want to make sure the deer get the right kind of food, so they initiated a state mobilized emergency feeding program in several counties.
If you're concerned about deer in your area, you should call the Division of Wildlife Resources.
