(KSL News) A tire maker sued over a van crash that killed a group of Utah State University students wants to keep documents about its products secret.

In September 2005 a van rolled, killing eight students and their instructor.

Families of the victims say the tires, made by Cooper Tire and Rubber Company, were faulty and that caused the crash.

Company representatives say releasing documents about their products will jeopardize commercial and trade secrets.
