OREM, Utah (AP) -- Utah Valley State College's booming student population and expanded course offerings are creating a campus crisis: the school is out of space.

College President William Sederburg says campus classrooms are booked and there's a shortage of faculty office space. The problem will only increase as the open-enrollment college becomes a full four-year university in July.

Officials say UVSC needs 60 new faculty offices by fall, as well as more room for science labs, dance and music studios and athletic facilities.

UVSC's enrollment is approaching 24,000 students. The college has added 23 bachelor's degree programs since 2005.
