SALT LAKE CITY — There's nothing like the feeling of getting on your motorcycle, and conquering the open road. But which road will you choose? According to Carla King of Lonely Planet, there is the perfect route in Utah that will fulfill all of your biker fantasies.

King has listed the 124-mile stretch of pavement of Highway 12 from Bryce Canyon National Park to Capitol Reef National Park, Utah as No. 6 on her list.

[This route](<https://maps.google.com/maps?oe=utf- 8&client=firefox- a&safe=active&q=bryce+canyon+national+park&ie=UTF- 8&ei=0PDYT- eqA8Tb6gG28ZmnAw&oi=mode_link&cd=3&ved=0CH0Q_AUoAg >) throughout southern Utah takes you on a trip through the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, Boulder Mountain, and Red Canyon in Dixie National Forest. It promises views of the sandstone rock formations, canyons, forests and lakes Utahns have grown to know, and that tourists gravitate towards, all the while driving along the curved roads motorcyclists crave.

Number five on the list is a 68-mile route within our northern neighbor of Wyoming. Beartooth Highway crosses over the Northern Rockies at an astounding altitude at nearly 11,000 feet high. You'll go through twists and turns, and see the sights of forests, lakes and waterfalls of Yellowstone National Park.

SR-1, also known as Pacific Coast Highway, is number one on the list. PCH makes for a beautiful drive no matter how many wheels you have under you, with 1,700 miles covering half of the west coast from California through to Oregon. It has spectacular views of the pacific ocean, and probably is one of the most accommodating roads to travel because it crosses through cities like Santa Monica, Malibu and San Francisco, through to Seattle.

The top 10 would not be complete without the infamous Route 66, which barely made it as number nine on the list. 2,200 miles of pavement from Los Angeles to Chicago ought to be recognized, as it has been in movies, TV shows, and songs for years and years.

So, calling all Utah bikers; Who of you have traveled the road from Bryce Canyon to Capitol Reef National Parks? What are your favorite roads in Utah to take your hog on? If possible, come up with your Top 5 routes in Utah.
