SALT LAKE CITY — This week marks two years since Susan Powell disappeared. Friday night, "Dateline NBC" aired a special on Susan's story, including a lengthy interview with her husband, Josh Powell.

The show was a comprehensive look at the case, which over the years has had a lot of twists and turns.

Susan's story began on Dec. 6, 2009, Josh Powell said he took his two young sons on a late night camping trip on a cold night in Tooele County. When he returned the next day, his wife was gone.

The subsequent investigation into Susan's disappearance has seen a swarm of media attention from the beginning. While the case seemingly went quiet for about a year, it recently skyrocketed to the forefront of news headlines with high profile searches in Ely, Nev., the Topaz Mountain region and at the home of Steven and Josh Powell in Puyallup, Wash.

Part of the evidence collected from the Powell home later led to the arrest of Steven Powell, Susan's father-in-law, who was charged in Pierce County Superior Court with 14 counts of voyeurism and one count of possession of child porn.

As of now, Josh Powell remains the only person of interest in his wife's disappearance. While he continually proclaimed his innocence during his interview NBC's Keith Morrison, Susan's friends still believe he has something to do with her disappearance.

Jennifer Graves, Josh Powell's sister and Susan's friend, and Kiirsi Hellewell, also a friend of Susan's, spoke to KSL News following the "Dateline" broadcast. Click on the video player above to hear their reaction.
