MILLCREEK — An elderly woman was killed Thursday when she was hit by at least two cars on 1300 East.

About 5:30 p.m., the woman was crossing the busy road with her dog near 3600 South when she was struck by as many as three cars, said Unified Police Lt. John Barker. The woman's dog also was killed in the accident.

Barker said the street was fairly dark, and the accident happened during the evening commute.

I don't think (the drivers) saw her until they were right on top of her.

–Lt. John Barker

"I don't think (the drivers) saw her until they were right on top of her," he said.

Drugs or alcohol didn't appear to be factors, Barker said.
