(KSL News) We picked up where we left off with our High 5 surprise.
Our Brooke Walker has replaced Coco Warner, but the surprises keep coming.
This morning Brooke surprised Dave Boulden, the head custodian at Doxey Elementary School in Sunset. Dave thought he had come to school early for a planning meeting.
"I'm shocked," he said. "I don't know what to think. When Mr. Viar called me yesterday and said you need to be here at 6:30, I thought certainly the district isn't involved in this because they don't get out of bed until 11:00."
Jean Bambrough nominated Dave for the High 5. "Dave just always goes above and beyond," she told us. "He's our Johnny on the Spot. He cleans out cars in the winter, cleans our cars off. He rescues you if you have a flat tire, and he takes such pride in our school. We just love him and want to thank him."
Besides keeping the school clean, Dave also dealt with major plumbing problems at the school that required crews to dig up the school's brand new parking lot surface and bring in portable toilets for the first day of school this year.
We should also mention Dave's a proud new papa. In fact, he's currently on paternity leave.
