HILL AIR FORCE BASE — A 60-day test effectively closing the base's Southwest Gate and opening the East Gate will end nearly 30 days earlier than anticipated.
Beginning Monday, the East Gate will be closed and the Southwest Gate will be opened again from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
A test was launched in July to help forecast traffic flow on and off the base through the East Gate in the event that gate is considered for use in the future.
Base officials ended the test early, satisfied the East Gate was not being used to the extent anticipated.
