Samantha Hayes ReportingIf you like an organized and planned approach to shopping, the Italian market may be a little overwhelming. A trip to the Piazza Della Republica on a Saturday afternoon is not just a chance to buy anything you might need, it's an experience all in itself.
If you go, be ready for the crowds; that includes just getting there and back on the train. Find your way to the fish house, inside the catch and release continues. The fish mongers yell prices at customers and everything you've ever imagined under the sea is available.
As an American, maneuvering your way through the Italian market can be quite an adventure, there is really nothing quite like it at home. Be ready to barter, and brush up on the metric system. But the funny thing about the Italian market is in the middle of the chaos, you can find something or someone familiar. We spotted a recognizable jacket through the crowd.
