Shelley Osterloh Reporting The US Ski Team today announced its Freestyle Moguls and Aerials Team; four of them are returning Olympic medalists.
The Freestyle Aerials team is very deep and strong. There will be some familiar faces to Utahns; many of the skier live and train here in Utah, people like Olympic Aerials Silver medalist, Joe Pack.
Joe Pack, Member US Olympic Team: "We have a very strong team this year, men's and women's moguls and aerials. The depth is unbelievable, the talent is unbelievable, the motivation is unbelievable, and I'm excited to be part of such a great team."
Also on the Aerials team is 36-year-old Eric Bergoust who will head to his fourth Olympics, he won a gold medal in 1998; Jeret "Speedy" Peterson and Ryan St. Onge, who won the Olympic trials last month.
The women are Jana Lindsey and Emily Cook, the 26-year-old who qualified for the 2002 games, but broke both feet just weeks before the games. Also there today, and on her first Olympic Moguls team, Jillian Vogtli of Park City.
2002 silver medalist Shannon Bahrke will head to Torino, along with 2005 world champion Hannah Kearney and Michelle Roark, who won her spot on the team a World Cup at Deer Valley a few weeks ago.
On the Men's side is Jeremy Bloom, who is has also made a name for himself in football and as a magazine cover boy. He'll be joined by 2002 silver medalist Travis Mayer, Toby Dawson and Travis Cabral.
