(KSL News) Two snowmobilers are safe this morning, after getting stuck by the Bountiful "B."
"Apparently they got into an area where it was so deep in the snow that they just bogged right down."
Kim Johnson, 51, of Farmington and Kendall Jones, 20, of Henefer, got stuck about six miles up a canyon.
Two witnesses spotted Johnson and helped him out, but rescue crews had trouble finding Jones. His snowmobile had tipped and he had to walk quite aways before crews could reach him on his cell phone.
A helicopter pulled him from the mountain.
Both men are doing fine. Rescuers say this had a good outcome because the men had warm clothing phones and GPS.
They say avalanche danger is high in the area and no one should go into the mountains unprepared.
"We really recommend that individuals carry avalanche poles, avalanche beacons and gps, as well as cell phones."
