WEST VALLEY CITY -- Buddhists in Utah celebrated the opening of their new temple Sunday.

With drums beating in the background, dozens of people admired the traditional architecture, statues and images of Buddha. The faithful also left offerings of fruit and flowers to Buddha.

It took ten years to raise the money to build this temple, which is located at 3595 W. 3630 South across the street from the old Granger High School.
