(KSL News) A warning for those of you who park on the street-- park in front of a mailbox and you could get a ticket.
That's Salt Lake City's new policy regarding curbside mailboxes.
Mayor Rocky Anderson's Chief of Staff, Sam Guvara, says the Post Office doesn't have to deliver mail to curbside mailboxes if a car is obscuring the box.
But, after numerous complaints, the city council enacted an ordinance fining people $17 if they park in front of a mailbox.
