(KSL News) -- Salt Lake Police came up empty handed today in the search for a teenager involved in a fatal shooting in the Avenues.
Officers received a tip that the 17-year old would be at a Salt Lake apartment building near 1300 South State Street.
SWAT teams surrounded the complex and with a search warrant went into the apartment. The teen was not there.
Police took five people into custody for questioning.
They believe the suspect fled the Wasatch Front and is hiding from police.
