SALT LAKE CITY -- The search for a stolen car ended in a river in Salt Lake City Sunday.
Police say the owner of the car was warming it up in his driveway around 5 a.m. when someone took off with it.
A jogger spotted the car around 9:15 a.m. floating upside down in the river near 1200 West and 1500 South and called police -- fearing someone might still be inside. Water rescue teams responded and determine the car was empty.
Police are now trying to figure out who took the car and dumped it in the water.
