CEDAR CITY, Utah (AP) -- A 74-year-old man with early stages of Alzheimer's has been missing since Saturday, police said.

Detective Mike Bleak said Raymond Shurtz, who lives in Cedar City with his sister, reportedly said Saturday that he was going to the Escalante area to see his children -- although they live in Arizona.

Police tracked Shurtz's debit card and there was a recent transaction in the Fillmore area.

Shurtz also was stopped by a Millard County sheriff's deputy on Saturday, before he was reported missing.

He was driving a 1996 green Ford Ranger with Utah license plate 334 YFZ.
