CEDAR CITY, Utah (AP) -- The Mayor of Minersville was taken to the hospital after his legs were run over by a rail car.

Robert Craw was airlifted to a Salt Lake City hospital Monday.

He was working on a rail car in Cedar City when he fell off the ladder of the rail car and it rolled backward over his legs.

Police say he injured one leg below the knee and the other below the ankle.

Minersville town clerk Sue Carter says the 52-year-old mayor will have a long recovery ahead.
