WEST HAVEN -- A man involved in a bar brawl in West Haven died early Monday morning from his injuries.

The Weber County Sheriff's Office is investigating the fight that led to the man's death. Monday, deputies asked for the public's help to piece together what happened.

Deputies say there were about 100 people at the Outlaw Saloon when a fight between two groups broke out Sunday morning around 1:30.

Friends KSL News spoke to over the phone say a couple of guys in one group had been harassing Malachi Darcey and his friends and family, even assaulting a female friend.

Deputies aren't sure what else happened leading up to the fight, and they say that's why they need help.

"We'd love to have some more folks come forward who perhaps weren't part of either of these two groups but maybe were there and seen the event take place and might have some more information for us from an objective standpoint," said Chief Deputy Terry Thompson, of the Weber County Sheriff's Office.

The fight happened outside the bar. It took several deputies and officers from other agencies to break it up.

Deputies say no weapons were involved but several people were hurt. Darcey went to the hospital with head injuries; he died early Monday morning.

His family gathered at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden to thank the staff and had a spokesperson read a statement, which said: "The family asked for time and space to grieve and begin to heal in private, and appreciate your thoughts and prayers at this difficult time."

Darcey leaves behind two little girls and a wife.

Deputies say they have made no arrests, but they've interviewed eight people and are talking to several more.

If you have any information on the fight, contact the Weber County Sheriff's Office at 801-778-6602.
