TOOELE -- Police arrested a Tooele man Saturday in connection with the shooting of his younger brother earlier this week.
Police say 26-year-old Cameron Silveira was taken into custody Friday in Grantsville around 9 p.m. without incident. He was booked into jail on suspicion of attempted murder and aggravated assault.
Levi Silveira, 20, was found outside the Tooele City Public Library early Thursday with a gunshot wound to his head. He remained in critical but stable condition Saturday.
Friday, police announced they were actively searching for Cameron Silveira. Family members told KSL the brothers lived together and had been fighting about an upcoming move.
Cameron Silveira does have an extensive criminal history with the Tooele City Police Department. He has been booked 12 times since 2002 on charges related to drug distribution, possession of dangerous weapon, assault and drug possession.
