SANDY, Utah (AP) -- Alvaro Saborio scored two goals, including the winner in second-half injury time, to give Real Salt Lake a 2-1 victory on Wednesday over Panama's Arabe Unido in an opening game in Group A of the CONCACAF Champions League.
Armando Cooper gave Arabe Unido a 1-0 lead in the 13th, but Saborio equalized late in the first half and then scored the winner on a penalty late into stoppage time.
The Panama side finished with nine men. Nahil Carroll was sent off in the 29th. Andres Santamaria was shown a pair of yellow cards following the winning goal.
