(KSL News) The Salt Lake City Council has voted to join a resolution against building office space at This is the Place Heritage Park.
The resolution calls for a state board to deny permission for leasing park land for office buildings and a parking lot.
Parks leaders want to lease 12 acres to ARUP to raise money for the underfunded park. But some oppose the lease because it takes away open space.
