TREMONTON -- Charges could be filed against a driver's education student accused of causing a fatal accident near Tremonton Tuesday afternoon.

Utah Highway Patrol troopers say the driver of the driver's ed vehicle was attempting to make a left-hand turn onto state Route 13 and pulled out in front of a car driven by 77-year-old Virginia Goodrich.

Goodrich was unable to stop and slammed into the side of the driver's ed car. She was not wearing a seat belt and sustained critical injuries. She died at a hospital a short time later.

The three people in the driver's ed car received minor injuries.

The Cache County District Attorney is now looking into the case.
