SALT LAKE CITY -- Salt Lake City police are asking the public's help in finding a carjacking suspect.
A surveillance photo shows the man talking on the phone as he walks past the victim's car Friday, near 500 North and 1200 West. Police say he then used a gun to steal the woman's car.
A witness who saw it happen followed the suspect until he realized it and fired at the witness. The suspect eventually jumped out of the car and ran off.
