THE KITCHEN — Food is arguably the one thing that, at times, can bring all of us together.

You know what brings us together but isn’t necessarily the healthiest option: junk food. Yeah, it may force us to hit the gym more often, but it’s so worth it. Some of you who are more conscious of your diet know a good cheat day helps keep your craving sanity.

Pro athletes take big cheat days. We’ve seen Michael Phelps, LeBron James, and Alex Morgan mention their favorite cheat day foods.

Former Utah Jazz player Enes Kanter also loves his cheat days. The newly signed Boston Celtics center decided to show the world what he eats on those very special calorie intake days.

At the beginning of the video, we see Kanter towering over a kitchen island. On said island: pizza, burgers and hot dogs (essentially ballpark menu staples) and shrimp to go along with them.

“This is actually the biggest cheat that I’ve had,” Kanter says. “This is probably gonna be the craziest cheat day ever!”

Kanter later decides to try something new with all the food he has on his plate.

“I’m going to put hot dogs on a burger and some pizza,” he describes. Kanter then adds ketchup, mayonnaise and what looks like mustard on top if his junk food club sandwich.

He goes in for a bite.

“That tastes very great,” you can hear Kanter mumble as he continues to chew.

I don’t know about you, but I feel like not trying Enes’ cheat day regimen. As much as I like pizza and burgers, I don’t want those foods to send me to the emergency room.

But if I was a professional athlete, I’d give it a shot.

Bon appétit!
