THE KITCHEN TABLE — For better or worse, dads have a big impact on our lives.
It appears that the dad in this featured video is one of the good ones, and his son couldn’t agree more. That’s why he asked his pops to be his best man.
The idea of asking your father to be your best man is sweet enough, but this son definitely takes the sweetness a step further.
"I put together a photo album of different pictures of my dad and me together throughout the years. The last picture in the album was a picture of a tuxedo saying, 'Dad, will you be my best man?'" he writes in the video description.
Now if you’re going to ask your dad to be your best man, you may get a stoic affirmative or a slightly choked up yes (or maybe a few other responses). But if you take dad down memory lane to first show him how much he means to you and then ask him to be your best man, chances are great that dad’s now tender feelings will jump straight to his eyes to be revealed in tear form.
The set up for the reveal may feel a little long in the 3-minute video, but the payoff is completely worth it.
The son originally filmed the reveal to show his sister who lives in a different state, but he posted it online for the wider world to enjoy. And we’re sure glad he did.
