SALT LAKE CITY — Even though it’s May, Mother Nature isn’t quite ready to let us forget what winter feels like.

Last week’s weather brought to mind the well-known Utah mantra: “If you don’t like the weather, wait five minutes.” Despite high, summer-like temperatures heading into the week, a winter storm hit the Wasatch Front late Tuesday and throughout Wednesday.

KSL.com’s Devon Dewey used drone footage of Big Cottonwood Canyon to illustrate just how big a difference one day can make for the scenery when spring storms hit.

As the week continued, the snow turned to rain, wind, and fortunately, more sunny skies. KSL.com readers submitted photos of several unique views from sunsets to funnel clouds.

If you’re getting out to explore the state this Memorial Day weekend, be sure to send us any photos you capture along the way!
