THE PIZZA PARLOR — Restaurant kitchens are generally not spacious places.

Everything is crammed together for speed and efficiency, and this includes generally narrow aisles. Yet these tiny spaces are often crammed with more people than seems safe with little or no elbow room.

If you’ve seen a busy restaurant kitchen in action, you know that it’s incredibly likely that you’ll bump, jab, or crash into a co-worker. That’s why kitchen staff uses a series of warning words when they’re walking behind someone, opening a door, moving something hot, or whatever other action that could turn into a workplace ouchie.

When kitchen staff don’t use their words, bad things can happen. Bad things like dropping a delicious pizza that is fresh out of the oven.

In this video, you’ll see the above-described scenario playing out before your very eyes. A woman is bringing a hot pizza out of the oven, as her co-worker walks behind her. As she bumps into him, and in a move that saves a hot pizza smashing into the man’s face, she pulls the pizza board back.

But the pizza does not go with the board. Instead, the pizza falls sharply toward its doom.

That’s when our capeless pizza hero casually catches the red hot pizza and places it on the counter without missing a beat. Then he saunters away like his life motto is “no pizza left behind.” And the internet can’t get enough of him.

I just hope his hands were clean.
