SNOWBIRD — Avid skiers and snowboarders celebrated Memorial Day at Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort as it closed for the season on Monday.
Snowbird was open for 181 consecutive days, the longest time a resort was open in Utah this season. The 2,500-acre resort is located in Little Cottonwood Canyon and gets an average of 500 inches of snow each year, according to its website.
