SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Several men exiled from Warren Jeffs' polygamous sect are say a judge shouldn't require a man to pay his ex-wives' attorney fees after winning a child custody lawsuit. Six men say in a court filing that if a judge forces polygamist Lorin Holm to pay up to $76,000 in fees accrued by an attorney representing his two ex-wives, it would have a chilling effect on others who have been kicked out and want their children back.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Salt Lake County officials are holding a series of community meetings this month to let the public weigh in on the future of county parks and recreation facilities. Six public meetings will allow public comment on the 105 parks and 21 recreation centers, such as golf courses, swimming pools and trails. The first meeting is will be on Monday at the Millcreek Community Center at 6:30 p.m.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The Bureau of Land Management is asking Utah residents and others to weigh in on a proposed wild horse roundup in Iron and Beaver counties. Officials say they are studying how the potential roundup could affect plants and wildlife at the Bible Spring Complex.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A judge has agreed to allow lawyers for a group of Utah dairy farmers to investigate whether the power plant they sued tainted the jury pool in rural Juab County, resulting in a mistrial last fall. Attorneys for the farmers say power plant executives threatening that the Intermountain Power Plant near Delta could close and jobs would be lost if the farmers' suit was successful. Intermountain attorneys dispute that the jury pool was tainted.
