SALT LAKE CITY — Police said a man was arrested after returning to a Dollar Tree he had robbed previously.

The incident occurred Tuesday at the Dollar Tree at 812 E. 200 South around 8:58 p.m., police said. Employees called police after recognizing a man in the store who had allegedly robbed the store recently. The man had been armed with a handgun during the previous robbery, police said.

Salt Lake City police officers arrived and as they confronted the man he tried to reach for a handgun in his waistband. Officers were able to restrain and arrest the man.

Munetadhir Alaetiaj, 21, was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail.
