ALPINE — The parents of 16-year-old Indica Huddleston, who was missing for nearly a week, said they are glad their daughter is home and their ordeal is over.

Indica was found around 5:45 p.m. Friday in Salt Lake after she went missing for a week before. At the time of her disappearance, the Huddleston's found a note indicating she had run away, but her parents suspected she may have been lured away by an older man she met on Facebook.

"I am so happy that I have her back, that we have her back, and so I think that joy is carrying me," her mother, Andrea Huddleston said. "But I have a feeling that in the next day or so, I'm going to need a re-couping time."

The Huddlestons said they still do not know much about where their daughter spent the last week because of an ongoing criminal investigation, but they do say they have learned a few lessons about online safety.

"You can have all of the passwords and of the security things set up and your child can still find a way around them," Huddleston said.

Friday, Huddleston noted her daughter had 1,550 Facebook friends, and at least 1,000 of them could be considered persons of interest. Many of the Indica's "friends" were older men posing on the social media site as different people, she said.

They said they were grateful for law enforcement and all the work they did to bring their daughter home safe.
